He himself states: "I prefer to paint my dreams for the past days. To dream of them through new and new pictures, already refracted through the mind and knowledge of the years and unconsciously colored by the heart. I am accumulating a collection of dreams about the blue of the sea, about the eyes of the fish, about the ruined faces of the fishermen, about the Lowlands, about Bosch and Bruegel, about the first light on the horizon from the still missing sun.
