Christophe Sawadogo

Born in 1972 in Tikaré, Burkina Faso. Lives and works in Burkina Faso.

His first vocation was to become a doctor and then a critic. In the end, he turned to the plastic arts. 

However, his passion for writing has never left him. This artist who loves words, poetry and calligraphy has never stopped sprinkling his pictorial work with phrases, fragments and letters.

Fusing colours and graphics on canvas, he creates works where the fluidity of his line is combined with a brilliant palette of colours. Here everything is suggested, whispered in a mist of intranquillity.

Christophe Sawadogo has participated in individual and collective exhibitions in many African countries. He has also exhibited in Europe: France, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Belgium, Spain...
