He studied at the Film Academy of the Beijing School of Photography. He lives and orks in Beijing.
Zhang Wei holds a Masters in Visual Arts from the Panthéon-Sorbonne University in Paris (2005). In 1994 he graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Fine Arts University in Beijing.
