Biography
Born in 1988, Yéanzi is an Ivorian artist. He graduated from the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Abidjan in 2012, having studied painting and photography.
Skilled in both street art and portraiture, Yéanzi explores cultural and collective heritage and questions of identity through his work. He utilizes recycled melted plastic to create anonymized human figures which offer commentary on the poor treatment of our planet and modern social advancements.
In 2012, Yéanzi received the Diploma of Honour of the National Order of Merit of Côte d’Ivoire. His work was selected for the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022.
