Biography
Mathuias Malling-Mortensen is a Danish artist born in 1980. After studies at the "Danish School of Media and Journalism" he experimented with numerous techniques. He is a visual artist intrigued by the forms, figures, and compositions he encounters. His style is intuitive and minimalist and non-figurative.
The artist Mortensen is multidisciplinary, he paints and creates prints using multiple techniques.

In his works, Mortensen emphasizes the dynamics when adding empty space to a canvas, and the materiality found between space and non-space. He constantly explores the interaction between color, light, and shadow in his practice. In his work, he constantly makes us discover new bases of spatiality, textures, forms, and poetry.
