Biography
Oscar is a French painter. After spending his childhood in the Ivory coast, he studied graphic designing at Saint Luc, Belgium and design at the Fine Arts School in Saint Etienne.
This double approach made an impact on him, one can observe this through his detailed strokes and forms. Perspectives, typography, drawing remind us of the graphic universe in comic books, whereas raw materials (wood, rock, metal and water) bring shape to his paintings.
The artist uses various techniques like oil, acrylic, pigments, pastels, charcoal, some of which help him develop the background and the others to make up his figures. One of the colors is more present than the others, creating an atmosphere which is ideal for the artist to express himself.
His memories create these atmospheres, like his childhood in Ivory coast but also his trips to various countries in the Mediterranean and Quebec. They influence the artist differently, they lead to a more open but also introspective painting.
