NITRAM

Presentation

Nitram is the pseudonym of Martin Matrat. Born in 1986, originally from Strasbourg, Nitram is a painter with a promising career, whose work stood out from the start of his artistic activity.

If we had to qualify his style, we would probably classify it in the street art, free figuration or raw street art movements.

He mixes warm and cold colors on large formats, mainly in acrylic. His paintings take on African and/or South American hues. His subjects are bestiaries, historical or mythological scenes, theories or great fantasies.

The mystical, the dream, the life, the death and the humor mix through geometric shapes. Its patterns outlined in black and white are reminiscent of certain artists of the 1980s/90s.
