Samuel Bloch paints canvases bordering on abstraction that give free rein to the imagination.
He studied graphic design at the London College of Communication from which he graduated in 2017.
Inspired by the expressionist and abstract expressionist movement, as well as art brut, he has a very physical and free approach on the canvas. He paints in a lively and raw way, mainly using acrylic for its quick drying.
His paintings evoke an observed world, metamorphosing into a dream. Resident at Préavie since 2020, a place bringing together a large number of artists and craftsmen in the Parisian suburbs, he participates in several collective exhibitions.
Samuel's interest in digital has led him to build bridges between traditional plastic arts mediums and digital ones. His multidisciplinary practice sees him, for example, working on volume by creating sculptures in wood and clay that he brings to life through 3D animation.
