Sandra Jourdain is a painter born in 1972 in Paris. She lives and works in Angers since 2003. She studied plastic arts in different schools and workshops between the Beaux-Arts of Angers, those of Paris and the Academy of Art of Italy.
She worked for nearly 10 years in the audiovisual industry while continuing to paint. Influenced by her training in the audiovisual industry and her professional experience as an assistant director, narration holds an important place in her pictorial style.
The painter works with matter and movement where brightly colored strokes cut and overlap with great freedom. It is a personal plastic universe to reach a pictorial balance. This artist combines various materials, acrylic, paper, marble powder, binder, burlap, collage.
She invents a colored background with a technique similar to that of illustration and reflects the energy and dynamism of urban places with bright and contrasting colors. Her work is now exhibited in various galleries and participates in exhibitions in France and abroad.
