A graduate of the Montpellier Faculty of Letters in cinema, entertainment and audiovisual (DEUG ISAV - 1995), Brume concluded her artistic training with a Diploma in interior architecture and design (1999) at the Ecole Bleue in Paris. Her beginnings were at the crossroads of architecture, audiovisual production and scenography and it was only at the end of the 2000s that she approached the photographic media and the artistic world. What was just a tool quickly becomes its own language and writing. She observes the need to use the camera like a sketchbook and pencil. She initially accumulates “photographic traces” in an indiscriminate manner and begins to question what she calls the inter-lines or rather the inter-images. Working from series and “by means of superpositions of images that capture a reality in flight, fleeting and obscure, terribly suggestive” (Eva Vàsquez, El Punt Avui, 2020), she constructs deliberately complex and non-immediate images that speak of the immateriality of our memories and our emotions. Like a reflex and almost utopian act to slow down the passage of time, she stubbornly creates images that demand the eye to insist and take the time to wander inside the viewer. She has recently participated in several group exhibitions, notably at the Olivier Waltman gallery (Paris – 2021-22), during the Ojos Rojos festival (Spring 2023) in Jávea (Spain) and currently at PhotoEnlace'23 in Serra de Daró (Spain).
