Established in Lausanne since 2019, Théo Van Leeuwen is originally from the Paris suburbs. Describing himself as self-taught in his artistic practice, he consciously explored music, drawing and painting to express the realities of life that crossed his mind.
His artistic sensitivity shines through in his portraits, often tinged with caricature, revealing unexpected facets of each person's personality. The singularity of each individual, at the heart of Théo van Leeuwen's approach, gives his works a presence magnified by the resonance they can produce on its visitors.
