Bleg

Painter, draftsman, and muralist, Bleg is an artist born in 195 and originally from Brittany. He has been living in Lyon for almost 10 years now. Working with a strong graphic design based on a thick and homogeneous line, he explores techniques and multiplies supports. Touched in his childhood by the discovery of Cubist and surrealist works, he draws inspiration today from 20th-century modern painting, graffiti, architecture, and mythology. He proposes very graphic compositions, representing most of the time highly stylized, more or less deconstructed humanoid figures, thus tending towards visuals on the edge of abstraction.

He likes to play with the interpretation the public can make of his work and confront this first reading with the explanation of the symbolism of his line. A partisan of letting go, Bleg often sets out without any preparation on his canvases or sheets of paper, waiting for the "artistic accident." His work is characterized by a search for perpetual simplicity, based on a fast but controlled movement.
