Biography
Martine Diotalevi was born to Italian parents in Menton, France. After studying arts, she leaves the French Riviera and settles in Paris where she installs her workshop in Montmartre.
Her participation at the Cow Parade Vach'Art in 2006 is a great success : she receives the 1st Prize for her Vache Triporteur.
Her artistic curiosity leads her to use all that surrounds her for inspiration. The works of Joan Miró and Alexander Calder influence the development of her artistic world.
Martine Diotalevi draws inspiration both from her region of birth and from the Parisian urban landscapes. Her taste for architecture and design as well as the theme of dream form a basis for for here to create her own abstract form of representation of reality.
Martine Diotalevi finds this balance between matter and imagination in her Stabile Modulum works, in which she paints mobile modules in equilibrium in an organised space filled with coloured forms, thus conveying an illusion of movement and stability of theses painted sculptures.
