Biography
Pierre Cayol attended the National School of Decorative Arts in Grenoble, then the Académie Julian in Paris. When his choice to become a painter was confirmed, he worked under the advice of Marcel Feguide, a painter living in Eygalières. He was often asked to participate in group exhibitions and trade fairs as a guest of honor. He has been a member of the Salon d'Automne in Paris since 1984 and has works in several Museums (Bagnols-sur-Cèze; Toulon; Uzes; Cedan; Chateauneuf-le-Rouge.). Great passionate about Amerindian culture, Pierre Cayol regularly stays with the Navajo, Apaches, Hopis, Pueblos. The mythology, symbols, and philosophy of these populations have an increasingly strong impact on his work today.
