Biography

Jean Marc Emmanuel Gaillard was born in 1958. After his time at the school of fine arts in Besançon, his investment in the cultural professions is to obscure the long hours of observation of the environments which surround him and which l 'have seen the river and its fringes of willows and reeds, its song and its silences, the constantly changing and furtive colors that constitute it. He paints these moments. From each painting he brings out a state, a state of mind, that of the reflections that are sent back to him and that he puts in touches and vibrations. He is fond of two techniques, sensitive and satin gouache and oil painting with more marked touches that hug the bristles of the brush. The writing accompanies it and is structured in poems which sometimes complement what color cannot express. He lives in the countryside, between the ponds of Bresse and the Doubs. He has been painting for a long time, but he will tell you that he has only been painting for a very short time, each sheet of paper, each blank canvas being just a huge territory to be discovered.
