Ismaël Kachtihi del Moral

Ismaël Kachitihi del Moral has been living in Reims since 1991. Born in Tangiers, Morocco, he has shows all over the world: Rabat, New York, Madrid, Paris.

In January 2001, his research on Spanish religious sculpture in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries took him on a trip in the Neguev Desert, in Beer-Sheva and Tel-Aviv, Israel.

Ismaël Kachitihi has been a resident of the Casa Vélazquez. His current work is focusing on the religious iconography in Southern Spain, the fragility of the body, the night and the sleep.
