Michel Petit

Self-taught artist, Michel Petit was gradually introduced to drawing, ink, watercolor, dry pastel, oil, acrylic paint and oil. Wishing to mix techniques, he combines drawing, colors and collages. His favorite models are the old carcasses of vehicles or boats abandoned in the middle of existing or imaginary landscapes. Districts of deserted villages such as they could exist in the last century. A time when old cars ended their lives, rusty, at the back of a courtyard or a dead end, and not thrown into anonymous junkyards, forgotten by all. The whole thing gives the observer a depth of field which inhales his gaze and plunges him into the work to seek out the smallest details.
