Biography
Born in 1965, David Bordes has been a photographer for twenty years. He soon became interested in the artistic and architectural heritage, of which he is his favorite field. The very idea of heritage is linked to the notion of time, and it is this relationship at the time that is fundamental in his images.
This is not a "viscontian" look at the decadence of things but at contrary a fascination for what survives and crosses the time: in the middle fields, a Romanesque arcade has resisted land consolidation, frost, needs in stones... elsewhere, in a chapter house where still today monks live and pray, a seat is there, in the doorway of the window, and has not moved for centuries.
