Biography
Malachi Farrell, born in 1970 in Dublin1, is an Irish artist who lives and works in the Paris region, in Malakoff.
He arrived in France in 1972 when his parents decided to leave Ireland to settle in Paris. He indeed uses sound, light, the choreography of machines and objects articulated by complex electronic circuits of which he draws the plans himself.
In these stagings combining DIY and cutting-edge techniques, Malachi Farrell tells contemporary fables marked by a strong emotional charge, in which the viewer, continually endangered, is made aware of the duty of commitment to a society that 'he too often considers brutal4. He composes with humor, using satire and caricature.
