David Jaunay is a French artist born in 1982. Trained in carpentry and woodworking at Compagnons du devoir, a self-taught visual artist, bent towards graffiti since several years now.
In his works, David Jaunay combines wooden carvings and airbrush painting. He is mainly devoted to classic types of vanity and still life, which he later twists and re-invents. Indeed, the artist uses conventional elements like a skull, in order to represent fruits or vegetables and turns them into 3D models.
He's extremely influenced by street art, therefore this young artist likes to explore and combine different materials like wood, PVC, resin and paint. Who inspires him? Artists like Daim, Réso and Nancy Fouts.
David Jaunay did his first exhibition in Café Berlin in 2016.
