Biography
They painted their signature alarm clocks all over Paris and in fifteen countries around the world. Wèkup is a duo of street artists, behind which we find two childhood friends from the Parisian suburbs. After practicing more classic graffiti for ten years, they decided to join forces in 2015 to exorcise their obsession with passing time with color. Two hands for one alarm clock.
In parallel with their work as muralists, the duo Wèkup has developed a workshop production on supports ranging from canvas to wood, including plaster. More experimental, she questions the urgency in a society where everything is accelerating. And remember that if time allows building, it is also capable of destroying.
