Grégoire Camuzet is a French artist.
Grégoire Camuzet studied at Ecole des Gobelins. He began his career in classical dance before devoting himself to photography since 2005.
Gregory Camuzet does research work on artistic rendering revolving around vibrations and inherent movements of his subjects, even those which are still. He wants to emphasize the visual contracts. His first works were on architecture, though gradually he began to drift towards aesthetic dance gestures, which has remained his main inspiration.
He has been experimenting and evolving his light painting technique since early 2010. His creations are filled with nuances and hints. Through very precise technique and contrasts, he is able to unveil the slightest detail, making his model unique. However, the darkness of his photos allow to conserve this poetry and mystery. Grégoire Camuzet doesn't want to reveal everything, as it's because of this play on light that he manages to enhance the being or the photographed object.
