Originally from the suburbs of Paris and a graphic designer by profession, Opla is a French artist born in 1992.
Calligraphy plays a main role in his work, he declines it in all its forms by using a wide variety of techniques. Through engraving, painting and graffiti he tries to renew each one of his pieces. letters become motives, and it is through typograhpy and colors that he appropiates them.
He uses multiple supports, canvas, wall, or urban elements and is strongly influenced by the work of artists such as Atlas, O'Clock and Jean-Michel Basquiat. He confronts an almost architectural style with the spontaneity of his brush strokes, creating this way compositions of great power, in the vivacity of colors and in the assurance of the trait.
