Michel Rolin, independent Parisian photographer, carries out his work, both individually, and within the association la Petite Société which brings together various artists from his district.
Twice winner of the Rencontres Photographiques du Xème, he exhibits regularly in Paris and in the provinces. Lastly he exhibited, in February 2020, at the Salon des Artistes français as part of the “Art Capital” exhibition at the Grand Palais.
He likes to work by making series on the same element. As for the choice of subject, he often favors ephemeral traces of volatile substrates before they disappear. From the object captured in its reality, he extracts an abundance of lines and colors. The image thus diverted to abstraction becomes a magnified fragment pertaining to the imagination.
