Ikon is a French artist born in 1970. He lives and works between Paris and Hossegor. His style belongs to the urban culture of skateboard and surfing, he travels the world searching for the best waves on the planet and starts painting on surfboards.
He devotes himself to his art and draws his inspiration from the surfing and skateboarding culture, his trips and from the mass culture (cartoons, comics and cinema). Using humor to convey more serious messages, he depicts in all sorts of icons his character "Beasty Boy" in a very colorful universe. His work is mainly based on the research of progressive techniques about the precision of the line.
