Biography
Chantal SZYMONIAK with Polish and Alsatian origins, lives and works in Alsace. She developed her artistic spirit at a very young age, living in a family passionate about the arts.
Self-taught, she took courses at the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg for several years to perfect her skills and tried out several pictorial techniques. Even if she perfectly masters watercolor and drawing, it is towards oil painting with a knife that her preference has been directed. In order to perfect her technique, she took several courses with great masters.
If Chantal's main theme is nature with a predilection for trees, she does not hesitate to take on new challenges and explore new pictorial horizons. Intuitive, she follows her feelings without limiting herself to a style or a theme. For this enthusiast, painting is a wonderful means of expression.
His works with strong contrasts are luminous, sometimes soft and vaporous, all imbued with a special atmosphere. They invite the observer to escape and dream.
