Pierre-Elie De Pibrac

Pierre-Elie de Pibrac was born in Paris in 1983. He did his first photographic reportages during his trips, reportages which received immediate recognition. He is the winner of competences organized by Paris Match, Photo or Orange and SFR. In parallel to his studies in the school of business, he worked with photographers of the VU Agency, such as Denis Darzacq, Claudine Doury or Rip Hopkins. Once he graduated, he chose to devote himself solely to photography, a choice he did not regret.

Pierre-Elie de Pibrac's obsession, is to make images evolve. This research goes beyond the chosen subject, which allowes him to innovate constantly and to push his research further. His first collection, done in the United States, used the figure of heroes as subject. His most recent works focus on the operas of Paris and its dancers. Using the same subject, the virtous photographer produces totally different collections and explores new techniques constantly. In his collections Catharsis, he switched to pictorial abstraction. The transmission of the dancer's energy and of their power is eminently perceptible.

Talented and having a promising career, Pierre-Elie de Pibrac has exhibited his work in France and in the United States in pretigious galleries, as well as in numerous shows such as the Paris Show off or the FIAC, even at the Grand Palais. His collection of images always find editors to become the object of artworks.
