Biography

Born in France in 1973, Ari Erom is a contemporary artist , painter , sculptor , and multidisciplinary creator whose visual universe is distinguished by a precise, spontaneous, and immediately recognizable style. His work, fueled by a rich imagination, poetically explores the human condition, the duality of beings, and the power of emotions through a unique iconography that frequently features monocular faces, symbolic animals, and vibrant characters.

After beginning his legal studies, Ari Erom ultimately chose the path of artistic creation, making art his primary means of expression. A champion of spontaneity, the unexpected, and the unusual, he advocates a free practice, shaped more by experience, travel, encounters, and sensations than by traditional academic training. This freedom nourishes a profoundly personal body of work that encompasses contemporary painting , figurative sculpture , drawing , design , and mixed media .

His visual language combines powerful lines, vibrant colors, and universal symbolism. His famous depictions of elephants, with their harmonious and monumental forms, reflect this constant search for balance between strength and delicacy, matter and emotion. The artist also develops a gallery of insolent, mischievous, and profoundly human characters, conveyed through a clear and expressive graphic style.

Ari Erom works across a wide variety of media and favors an instinctive approach where the speed of thought accompanies that of the creative gesture. His work, sometimes compared to contemporary figuration , Pop Art , naive art , or even certain forms of poetic surrealism , remains resolutely unclassifiable and iconoclastic.

His works are exhibited and collected in Europe, America, and Asia. In 2022, he presented his first solo exhibition in Italy, entitled Infinito, at the Ghetto Et Cetera gallery in Venice, curated by Marianna Accerboni. This exhibition highlights a colorful and profoundly humanist universe celebrating life in all its forms.

Through his paintings, sculptures and hybrid creations, Ari Erom pursues a sensitive reflection on identity, imagination and freedom, affirming his place within the French and international contemporary art scene.
