It was very young that Sangie discovered dance and painting. She played various instruments and always loved to draw. Why ? "Because without knowing it allowed me to live in full consciousness, far from the world of adults who seemed to have a lot of problems on a daily basis, and to put myself in a kind of bubble in which I did not have to worry about the gaze of the other. "

At the age of 7, she remembers watching her grandfather paint figurative landscapes in oils with his outdoor easel. He often complained about others, about the way they judged his work, his art. He couldn't stand criticism and that had cut short any desire to exhibit.

"I felt his frustration and his pain. But I also felt how much painting made him feel good and I wanted to try by imitating him, by borrowing his brushes."

After spending 20 years in the Paris region, Sangie moved to Australia and what she discovered there in terms of light, nature and painting technique would impact her future choices. This is how she chose to establish her artistic workshop in Aix-en-Provence. She uses this famous light in her abstract paintings. After drawing and oil, she works with acrylic, charcoal and ink. She approaches painting with great openness and experimentation with gesture, movement, working on calligraphy and the vibratory stretching of the material.

Of his courses on the history of art, Sangie was the most marked by the artists who proposed another way of seeing reality (the fauvists), shaped by the energy of the movement (Hans Hartung, Fabienne Verdier) , the work of the material (Richter, Soulages) and the force of the colors (Klein, Matisse, Rothko). Each in his own way wanted to work on a form of reality, emotion, energy, adding everything that the eyes do not see, but what the heart feels. These are the vibrations that interest him and are the basis of his creations.

As a dancer, she relies on her sensations to work on gestures and apply colored layers to highlight emotions and take us on different levels of reality. Over the years, she tirelessly studies the way in which abstraction and the energies conveyed naturally take precedence over reality, in order to transcend the limits of the physical world.

Neurosciences have made it possible to understand that the brain is a muscle that can be strengthened in its positive part to see life from a more beautiful angle and thus live better. Sangie uses her art in this approach to spread messages of optimism and caring.

She exhibits regularly in France and abroad: New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Lisbon. His paintings are part of private collections around the world and were presented at Miami Art Basel in December 2018 by Aqua Art Miami.

Passionate about dance and in search of ephemeral permanence, I explore through gesture and painting the movement of the body in space. My means of expression revolve around painting, ink on large format paper, collage and calligraphy.

The body writes a message, the result in my work is a dancing calligraphy that represents what the word cannot express. There is no longer any gravity; the sky and the earth share the canvas like Yin & Yang, for a balance and a lightness of being.

According to Leonardo da Vinci “movement is the principle of all life. "

I focused my artistic research to plastically suggest dynamism, speed, energy, gravity… I thus seek to capture this moment in action in space, in a perfect balance of shapes and colors.

My canvases are prepared with vibrations of materials and acrylic colors that reflect the emotions felt during the choreography, the lightness of the gestural trace in ink and paint is superimposed like a suspended moment captured in space.
