"We always paint in the shadow of someone.
Trained at the Beaux-Arts, Painter Soizick Hamon crossed Vincent Bioulès and Claude Viallat there.
In the light of her work, the personality of the artist is revealed: voluble, warm, Soizick Martin manifests, as if by reflex, a sincere interest in the other, this "unknown friend", as the poet Jules Supervielle would have designated him.
From the Morocco of her childhood, Soizick Martin has inherited the most elegant language that nothing, better than her work, could translate. For it is a question, throughout the exhibitions, of her ability to seize those moments which make us say that art is life.
