Biography
My artist name is Jako but I am female.
First a teacher then after late studies of plastic arts, I work in plastic projects in kindergarten and primary. I then take early retirement and devote myself to painting.
Several periods in painting are defined by the chosen dominant. First red then yellow then green then blue and finally black and white. After a vote in Australia, I was struck by the minimalism of Aboriginal painting, and strongly influenced. I first do tests on small formats (30x30cm) with simply black and white, taking in turn black and white as a background with its opposite as a pattern. When the test is satisfactory, I lay it on a larger canvas.
