Biography
Painter of classical training in Fine Arts in Moldavia and of Moldavian origin, Alexandru lives and works in France since 1998.
At first, he works a lot on sketches and portraits on paper.
He then moves on to large format, where the gesture, the body and the mind are one. He also works on the posture and the amplitude of the gesture to work without constraints.
His work, mainly focused on the portrait, is now of a great freedom, which combines gesture, speed, spontaneity and precision.
He also finds his inspiration in music. Indeed, for several years he has been painting live during concerts, in connection and in rhythm with the musicians.
