Clemyart

Biography

Born in 1988 in Finistère, Clemyart spent part of her childhood in France and Belgium where she quickly immersed herself in Hergé's illustrations which inspired her to draw. She was passionate about the animal world and the Visual Arts from a very young age and already reproduced some famous works by Miro and Picasso. Creativity lives within her and follows her wherever she goes, the artist takes real pleasure in imagining and designing on various media.

At the age of 15, Clemyart joined the Applied Arts program in the Basque Country before returning to immerse herself in the Plastic Arts, a world in which she flourished even more.

Clemyart continued her higher education in New York City, in Manhattan, where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a degree in arts communication which confirmed her appetite for these disciplines.

In her free time, she wanders the colorful streets of the Big Apple, and enjoys taking countless picturesque photos of its incredible architecture and its sometimes eccentric inhabitants. When she returns to her apartment on the Upper East Side, located a stone's throw from the Hudson River, she starts painting again: these are initially abstract canvases with plays of materials which, over time, evolve to take another direction, that of pop art.

In 2010, after graduating, Clemyart left the United States to settle in South Korea. When she arrived in Seoul, she drew in notebooks while simultaneously exploring the world. Her notebooks and camera, with which she primarily took portraits of humans and animals, traveled with her throughout this period.

Animal rights are close to her heart, and the artist began humanizing animals in her various works. Two years later, her drawings began to take shape on the computer. She then discovered a new medium for expressing herself. She developed a taste for it; digital art attracted her.

In 2015, Clemyart returned to Bordeaux, where she continued her professional career in graphic design and animation video. In 2018, the artist began creating digital portraits of women and animals, which she enjoyed posting on Instagram. That same year, she became a drone choreographer. The world of entertainment was attractive, and the play of light still captivated her. It wasn't until 2020 that the artist decided to start painting again. The mediums quickly changed, and Clemyart enjoyed painting on objects alongside her canvases.

In 2021, the artist was approached by a gallery and decided to promote her art. Her first bottle, "La Bouteille des Temps Perdus," was sold in New York. That same year, Clemyart also joined a Parisian concept store and was then noticed and sponsored by the Atelier Conseil pour Artistes: Amylee.fr, by proposing a giant sculpture project in a public space.

In 2023 the artist is exhibited at the International Contemporary Art Fair in Nice.
