Biography

Originally from Gruissan in the Aude, René Goxes began his career in architecture and building. Passionate about art, self-taught painter and draftsman, he will test the different painting techniques before finally adopting the gray of Payne as an essential basis of his work.
He will gradually create his own minimalist style. Playing with full and empty that he subtly masters, he creates moving bodies of great finesse.

It's hard to count all the awards and recognitions of this artist who is quoted at Akoun's, but we can mention among them the “Fine Art Prize" in Kobe in Japan in 2018, the “Press Prize" and “the Bronze Eagle" at the Grand Prix International of Nice in 2016 and the “City award" at the Hyères International Art Fair in 2014. René Goxes has also been exhibited in Spain, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, China and Japan.
