After a few years of university research during which I explored different artistic techniques such as video and installation, I returned very naturally to the two-dimensional format, particularly to ink drawing. Rather figurative, my drawings reflect the process of constructing my references, woven by a mixture between the imagination and the anecdotal of everyday life.
A long stay in Asia marked my work, in particular on the subjects addressed such as food, orchids and their fanciful potential are recurring themes in my drawings. After the years of pandemic, objects and our relationship with them are an inexhaustible source of questions and also creations. In the practice of my studio work, these questions have translated into a more conscientious exploitation of materials, particularly raw materials, which are the basis of my drawings. Many of them come from scraps, waste that I give the opportunity to revive and whose magic, the adoption, seems necessary to me in the current creative process. Wallpapers, cables, boxes, books and an endless number of wonderful objects tend to flood the city's landfills, and despite the lack of space, I don't decide to let them go without giving them the chance to tell us a story. new story.
