"When I paint people, I paint movement – movement in color and rhythm. In a crowd, we don't see individuals; we see a symphony of color and motion. That is what I aim to capture in my market and townscape panoramas. My townscapes, in particular, carry a philosophical undertone – what happens beneath those rooftops? Love, loss, hope, conflict? If only we could lift those roofs, the revelations would be profound."
