Biography

Yurlanis Bes is an Indonesian artist who hails from Padang, Sumatra. He graduated from the prestigious Indonesian Art Institute in Yogyakarta and is currently based there. Staying true to his roots, Yurnalis is part of a Sumatran artist community named SAKATO.

His paintings are primarily surreal decorative pieces full of bright colours. Part of his inspiration comes from his dreams, which he visualises on the canvas, alongside his ideal imagination of Modern Nature.
