Pari Ravan is a German-Iranian painter and sculptor. She was born in Abadan, Iran, where she wins the first prize at an art contest at age 14 and attends the School of Fine Arts of Tehran.
Three years later she moves to Germany where she enters the School of Arts of Mainz. She first works as a psychiatrist before becoming an airline pilot, and eventually decides to put an end to her career and devote herself to art.

For her sculptures the artist works with resin and draws her inspiration from animals, especially cats, often establishing a connection between human ways and their own.
