Biography

Arik Levy was born in Tel Aviv in 1963. He began by designing surfboards and then joined the Art Center Europe in Switzerland to obtain a diploma in industrial design. He now lives in Paris. Multidisciplinary, he practices design, photography and production with a high sense of technique. His creations of design objects are offered by the biggest brands, including Vivia. He apprehends art and design in a similar way considering an object, even useful, as a work of art. He even injects a dose of humor into his creations, for example by drawing a doorstop made of gold bars, or even a stool in a stack of magazines. Each room carries a message and each can be linked to another: “My universe is like a door with multiple locks. If we know the recurring themes, we have the keys to understanding it, ”says the artist.
