Biography
Francesca Leoni, was formed at the Art Institute of Macerata in the 90s, after her artistic studies her works merge into an artistic path that will push her to create a language of contamination. Leoni's style is reduced to the essential: a world of colors where the study of the surrounding reality and the human figure are represented with a simple and immediate code. Her "stroke" is essential, sometimes sweet, sometimes sour, but magnificently sincere.
Francesca Leoni talks about life and does so in the realistic representation of her subjects, mostly women, mature women, with long wrinkles as a way out of an existence drugged by pain and old age. Plastic faces in the style of an ancient workshop where the sketch and the ink drawing are the kit for a woman with a deeply romantic but never destructive sensibility. From so formal she comes out of her where she feels the propulsive instinct of the gesture, a rich and extraordinary informality for colors and itineraries of mixed techniques whose language is even more immediate.
