A precious production, entirely handmade in Italy and intended for an exclusive public who seek extraordinary objects in a globalized world.
Already at the end of the 19th century, the Mangani family were sculptors from father to son. At the beginning of the 20th century, Cesarino Mangani worked in his own workshop in Florence with his five children, taking care of works requested mainly by English, French and American owners of villas in the vicinity of Florence.
Following the 1929 crisis, the workshop was closed.
Alfiero Mangani, one of his five children, opened a small ceramic and porcelain restoration workshop in the San Frediano district of Florence, assisted by his sons. Later, the business began receiving orders for porcelain objects, and a workshop was opened in the "Doccia" area of Sesto Fiorentino, the cradle of a prestigious porcelain-making tradition.
The major turning point came about thanks to a curious twist of fate that determined the transition from the simple laboratory of the time to the company of today.
The executives of the famous Tiffany company noted the characteristics and superb quality of the porcelains by Ivan Mangani, Alfredo's son.
An intense collaboration was born that lasted for years.
This allows the company to lay the foundations for an expansion of its production with the creation of large collections, from accessories to lighting and innovative processing and decoration techniques.
The heirs to the company's legacy today are Ivan Mangani's children, Lando, Giulia and Lorenzo, who perpetuate the historical tradition of porcelain in Italy with optimism and enthusiasm.
The company has a large collection of original models which today constitutes an invaluable heritage.
But it is still thanks to the skills, experience and tradition acquired over all these years that it can boast of a very high quality production characterized by the “search for beauty".
A precious production, entirely handmade in Italy and intended for an exclusive public who, in a globalized world, seek objects and lamps that are out of the ordinary.
It is the passion for art, the search for tradition and the elegance of proportions in the alchemy of the fusion of materials that often contribute to giving a soul to Mangani creations.
