Massimo Giacon

Born in Padua in 1961, Massimo Giacon is a fanciful and iconoclastic Italian artist.

His work spans various media, from cartoons to digital art, contemporary art and music. It is distinguished by collaborating the signature of some of the Italian intellectual and historical caricatures.

After being one of the actors of the revival of the Italian comics in the 1980s, he intervenes with the studios Sottsass Associati, Mattheo Thun, Mendini or companies like Olivetti, Swatch, Artemide.

Then, he created a line of objects for Alessi like Mr. Cold, Mr. Suicide, Gionni, Anubis, Pencil Pencil, Natalino, Christmas cowboy, Hal Freddo...

Massimo Giacon, in collaboration with stylists and fashion magazines, designs graphic design for computer companies.

Today, while continuing his musical performances (solo album "Horror Vacui", 1996), and artistic, he teaches at the European Institute of Design in Milan and develops his artistic creations.

Thanks to his creative and cunning eye, colorful sculptures are born from his imagination with the series "The Pop will Eat Himself" ceramic for Superego.

This artist is undeniably a touch to everything that transports us into a world where the Arts are mingled to erect a unique language.
