Born in Naples, Fiamma Zagara is a conceptual artist living in Rome. Although with strong roots in the Italian cultural heritage, she gives place to an original, vigorous plastic language.
Fiamma creates multi-layered artworks manipulating and transforming all sorts of recycled materials (wood, aluminium, jute, polyethylene, tubes, wires, glass). Primal colors – and, more recently, gold and silver - and archetypal forms are expression of her intimate research for harmony and balance combined with civil and social commitment.
In 2016, Fiamma worked with Michelangelo Pistoletto on the project “Terzo Paradiso" in Rome. She joined Venice Biennale twice, in 2009 and 2011.
