Biography
I was selected for the Mainichi Calligraphy Exhibition, one of the largest calligraphy exhibitions in Japan, and has won several awards in addition to a special prize at the Keisei Exhibition held by the avant-garde calligraphy group Keiseikai.
First time selected for Le Salon, exhibited at Salon d'Automne, and participated in a group exhibition at the gallery Linda Farrell in Paris.
A brief artist statement
"Your handwriting is unorthodox, but that's good."
My childhood mentor told me that. I remember feeling very relieved.
I studied calligraphy from an early age and learned how to use the brush through a variety of calligraphic styles. Currently, he focuses on abstract works and creative characters.
In the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Keiseikai, an avant-garde calligraphy group, I received a special prize at the 65th Keiseikai exhibition, the first time I participated in the exhibition. I was also selected for the Le Salon and Le Salon D'automne international competitions in Paris, France, and is actively engaged in overseas activities.
I am currently working in ink, using calligraphy techniques to create abstract works.
