Biography
Arisa Okazaki was born in 1983 in Nagasaki, Japan.
Since early childhood, Arisa has an interest in Art. That interest grew at the age of 14 after viewing paintings on display in a public museum in London. From that day, she has continued to explore ways of fusing Japanese sumi-e (ink painting) with the aesthetic of European abstract art.
Her sumi-e is nontraditional designs. Her subjects are mainly women and deep hidden emotions of human being such as sorrow and suffering. She strongly wishes the world will be released from suffering. She energetically participates in solo and group exhibitions in Japan and abroad.
