Ifeanyi Yvonne Nwoko

Ifeanyi Yvonne Nwoko (b. 1993) is a drawer and ceramic sculptor based in Lagos, Nigeria. Her passion for art began in childhood, where she found joy in drawing and shaping objects with her hands. This early curiosity led her to study Fine and Applied Arts at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, graduating in 2016 with a major in Sculpture.

Nwoko's practice bridges drawing and ceramics, drawing heavily from contemporary realism while engaging with broader contemporary art influences. Her ceramic works merge modern expression with echoes of African artistic traditions, particularly the refined elegance of Ife art and the expressive power of Nok terracottas. A figurative artist at heart, she channels her thoughts, emotions, personal experiences, and observations of her environment into works that resonate with both intimacy and cultural depth.
