Biography
Espen Hagen studied painting and sculpture at the Emily Carr College in Vancouver and then studied painting and sculpture at the Rietveld Academy.
Espen Hagen regularly traveled through North America and Mexico, where he made portraits of the American and Mexican indigenous people. Hagen worked a lot with Herman Brood, with whom he was friends and exhibited together several times.
