Cesar Legaspi was a Filipino painter. Born in Manila in 1917, Legaspi graduated from The University of Philippines School of Fine Arts, having studied commercial art.
Legaspi's paintings draw inspiration from Cubism. Producing both abstract and figurative works, he explores social inequality and class injustice. Despite being colorblind, Legaspi utilizes an extremely vibrant, dynamic color palette.
Legaspi's paintings can be found in the permanent collection of the National Museum of the Philippines. He died in 1994, in Manila.
