Jadwiga Okrassa was born in 1950 in Poland. She studied at the National Superior School of Fine Arts. She graduated from the graphic design workshop of Professor Janowski in 1976.
A Doctor in graphic design, she created numerous illustrations for books and for the press, posters, graphic signs etc. Parallel to this activity she paints, draws, photographs and works with ceramics as well.
Her work is present in several private and official collections such as that at the United Nations (New York), at the International Institute of Human Rights (Strasbourg) at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington), at the UNESCO (Paris), at the International Association of Illustrators FILU (Berlin).
