Biography
Conrad Botes is a South African artist and one of the founders of Bitterkomix, a famously irreverant South African comic book series. His work often illustrates the conflicts and contradictions of South African culture. Works by Botes are part of the permanent collections of numerous museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
